COLDWELL BANKER CAYMAN ISLANDS REALTY
A Caymanian by descent of Cayman Brac's earliest settlers, Irene grew up in Port Arthur, Texas where her father, a Bracker Seaman, was the first in his family to immigrate to America. She returned to the Cayman Islands in 1974, and sold real estate during 1980 in Grand Cayman at the beginning of that real estate boom. Her career in both Texas and Grand Cayman also includes two decades as a business owner, Interior Designer, and Construction Project Manager, with several years in Property Management. Since moving to the Cayman Islands in 2004, where she and her husband Monte Thornton operated a construction company in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac, they are able to draw from that experience to answer many of the questions sellers and buyers may have. Her husband works alongside her as the Administrative Assistant in the Coldwell Banker Brac office and handles all aspects of her real estate sales website, as well as the online search engine marketing. Irene and her family have been living in Cayman Brac since 2009, where they are active in their community, enjoy scuba diving, hiking and stargazing in the clear pollution free night sky. Irene knows the Brac well, and believes that the Brac is the next real estate frontier for Cayman Islands property investors. Cayman Brac is like Grand Cayman 30 something years ago—primed and ready.
