CIREBA’s Grant Programme Helps more Caymanians Take the Step into Homeownership

More Caymanians are benefiting from CIREBA’s First-Time Caymanian Homebuyers Grant Programme, with Mario Smith, Kimberly Scott and Josani Schneider among the latest first-time buyers to receive support.

The programme provides eligible Caymanian first-time homebuyers with grants of up to CI$5,000 towards qualifying costs associated with purchasing their first home. Funded through CIREBA’s dedicated CI$200,000 fund, the initiative helps with expenses such as legal fees, bank costs, valuations and other closing costs.

As more buyers make use of the programme, CIREBA President Brian Wight said it is encouraging to see the initiative providing practical support where it is needed.

“Buying your first home is an exciting step, but the additional costs involved can place extra pressure on buyers,” said Wight. “The grant was created to help with some of those costs, and it is great to see more Caymanians benefiting from that support.”

CIREBA member agents work closely with buyers throughout the process, helping them understand the grant, determine their eligibility and complete their applications alongside their home purchase.

For this latest group, CIREBA agents Michele Bryan and Yoana Bonilla assisted recipients on their journey to homeownership.

“The programme is about providing practical help to Caymanians who are ready to buy their first home,” said Dena Rousseau, Chief Operating Officer of CIREBA. “We’re pleased to see it continuing to reach more buyers and encourage anyone who may be eligible to speak with a CIREBA agent and find out more.”

Applications Remain Open

Applications for the CIREBA First-Time Caymanian Homebuyers Grant Programme remain open to eligible Caymanian first-time buyers.
