George Town, Cayman Islands – May 2026 — The Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association (CIREBA) is proud to announce that the first group of first-time Caymanian homebuyers have officially received the CIREBA grant.

Launched earlier this year, the initiative was created to help reduce some of the financial barriers associated with purchasing a first home. Through a dedicated CI$200,000 fund established by CIREBA, eligible Caymanian buyers can receive grants of up to CI$5,000.

“This initiative is about more than just financial support, it’s about helping Caymanians take an important step toward long-term stability, security, and homeownership,” said Brian Wight, President of CIREBA. “Seeing the first recipients receive their grants is a proud moment for our organisation and members.”

Some of the qualification for the grant

  • Be first-time Caymanian homebuyers
  • Have received Government approval for a stamp duty concession
  • Be represented by a CIREBA member agent

Please contact your CIREBA agent for more information

Grant amounts are based on the property purchase price for properties valued up to CI$600,000 (some restrictions may apply).

CIREBA’s initiative complements Government’s existing stamp duty waiver programme for first-time Caymanian buyers and reflects a wider collaborative effort between the public and private sectors to improve access to homeownership opportunities for Caymanians.

Applications for the programme continue to be accepted, with submissions required within fourteen days of closing and accompanied by the relevant supporting documentation.

“Homeownership creates opportunity, builds generational wealth, and strengthens communities,” added Mr. Wight. “We are committed to continuing initiatives that support Caymanians entering the property market.”
